Inclusive Fitness Initiative

Accreditation Awarded in November 2009

Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre is pleased to announce it has now gained IFI accreditation.

The centre was judged on the following criteria: 

• Access: The organisation’s level of physical access to the fitness suite area in relation to current best practice and guidance
• Fitness equipment: The amount of IFI accredited fitness equipment
• Staff training: The level of training staff within the organisation
• Inclusive marketing: How effectively the organisation communicates with disabled people
• Monitoring: How well the organisation understands their current customer base

• Other physical activity opportunities: What other opportunities are available to disabled people
•  
• Policies: The organisational policies and procedures deemed relevant to equal access
• Gym Programming: How features such as inductions impact upon the service provided
